Explanation:

we know for light c = frequency * wavelength

here we have given

c = 3*10^8 m/s

wavelength violet = 400nm = 400*10^ -9 = 4*10^-7nm

red = 750nm = 750*10^-9 = 7.5*10^-8nm

now

frequency = c / wavelength

greater the wavelength lesser the frequency.

frequency for violet

= 3*10^8 / 4*10^ -7 ( a^m / a^n = a^m-n)

= 3/4 * 10^15

= 0.75 * 10^15

= 7.5 * 10^14 hz

frequency for red

= 3*10^8 / 7.5*10^-8 (a^m / a^n = a ^m-n)

= 3/7.5 * 10^16

= 0.4*10^16

= 4*10^15 hz

hope u understood it.
