Tell me the definition of reflex arc ...and reflex action !!!!!

Reflex actions is a spontaneous, involuntary response to a stimulus. Several of our activities are governed by reflex actions.
Reflex arc is a nerve pathway undertaken by nerve impulses from the receptor to the effector organ during a reflex action.

  • A message fro the receptor is relayed by sensory nerves to spinal cord , which sends information for response in a motor nerve to the effector.

Reflex Action :

  • It is an unconscious , involuntary and automatic response to the stimuli.
