STEP 1: Find fraction of boys:

Fraction of girls = 2/7 (Given)

Since 2/7 of them are girls, the rest must be boys:

Fraction of boys = 1 - 2/7 = 5/7

........................................................................................

STEP 2: Equate and find number of girls

Fraction of boys = 5/7

Total number of boys = 560 (Given)

⇒ 5/7 = 560

⇒ 1/7 = 560 ÷ 5 = 112

There are 2/7 girls:

⇒ 2/7 = 112 x 2 = 224

........................................................................................

Answer: There are 224 girls

Let the number of students in the school be x.

Given that (2/7) part of students in a class are girls.

= > (2/7)x

= > 2x/7.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Number of boys = x - (2x/7)

= > (7x - 2x)/7

= > 5x/7.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Given that total number of boys is 560.

= > (5x/7) = 560

= > 5x = 3920

= > x = 784.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then, the number of girls = 2(784)/7

= > 224.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Therefore, the total number of girls in the class = 224.

Hope this helps!
