STR is a triangle,so by applying Pythagoras theorem,

we get,

SR^2=ST^2+TR^2

10^2=8^2+TR^2

100-64=TR^2

36=TR^2

TR=6cm

so length of QR=Length of QT+TR

=2+6

=8cm

Area of quadrilateral PQRS=

1/2(sum of parallel sides) *height

=1/2(8+2)*8

=5*8

=40cm^2
