David's age x+9
Victor's age 3x+9

x+9 = 3x+9/2

(cross multiplication )

2(x+9) = 3x+9

2x + 18 = 3x+9

2x - 3x = 9-18

-x = -9

x = 9


so the ages of

Victor = 3(9) = 27 years

David = x = 9 years

Age of Victors will be 3X.

After 9 years age of David = (X +9) years.

After 9 years age of Victors = (3X+9) years.

According to question,

(X+9) = 1/2 × (3X+9)

X +9 = 3X+9/2

2(X+9) = 3X+9

2X +18 = 3X +9

3X-2X = 18-9

X = 9 years

Therefore,

Age of David = X = 9 years.

And,

Age of Victors = 3X = 3 × 9 = 27 years.
