Indirect Speech/Reported speech is speech being said to a third person/reporting what happened to a third person.
For example: Clarisse said,"I am going out." (Direct)
Clarisse said that she was going out. (Indirect)
In the above example, when writing in Indirect/Reported form, the sentence changes according to its tense form. Also, modifications regarding certain words and pronouns will have to be made like 'this' changes to 'that', 'tomorrow' changes to 'the next day', 'you' changes to 'I' and many other words.
