Heya...!

Bacteria is a group of prokaryotic organisma or monera which is characterisied by presence of peptidoglycan wall, a compact but naked DNA with attached mesosome and reserve food made of glycon and fat. Bacteria was discovered by leeuwenhoek in 1676.

They have the following traits

Basically uniocellular form

peptidolycan cellwall

mucilage covering

prokaryotic organistaion with naked circular DNA folded to form nucleoid

nucleoid attached to a membranous structure called mesosome by a Y shaped fork

Sap vacoules are absent. But gas vacoules are present in several cases

membrane covered cell organelles, including endoplasmic reticulum, are absent.

Ribosomes are 70S type.

Binary fission is main mode of reproduction.

varied nutrition including photoautotropic, saprotropic, parasitic, chemoautotropic.

Flagella, if present are, single stranded. They are made up of protein called flagellin.

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU.

Answer:

Bacteria are unicellular tiny organisms. they live together in colonies of millions. They are the simplest living organisms and found all around us. Most of them harmless but few of them are harmful because they cause diseases such as cholera and tuberculosis. Bacteria are of different shapes and sizes. Their size may vary from 0.2 to 2 micron. Based on the shapes of bacteria, they are classified into four types. They are- Spirilla, Cocci, Bacilli, Vibrios.
