Cyclonic storm 'Gaja' over the Bay of Bengal is set to make a downfall between Cuddalore and Pamban on Thursday.

There wind speed would be about 80-90 kmph gusting at 100 kmph and sea condition is very likely be rough to very rough along  South TN and Pondicherry coasts.  

IMD has cautioned about major damage to thatched huts.

Gaja cyclone is the fifth summer cyclone in the year 2018. It was formed in the November 8 2018 due to Extreme low pressure over the bay of Thailand.

The wind speed measures from 60 to 80 kilometres per hour and has a gush speed of hundred kilometres per hour in the eye of the cyclone.

This cyclone resulted in a lot of deaths over Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh. Huge amount of property has been damaged many people has went homeless.
