Area of this figure= 2(area of trapezium) + area of rectangle

So, area of trapezium

=1/2 (length+breadth) height

=1/2(16+8)5.5

=1/2×24×5.5

=12×5.5

=66.0 cm²

Area of rectangle

=l×b

=14×8

=112 cm²

Area of this figure

=2(area of trapezium) + area of rectangle

=2(66)+112

=132+112

=252 cm²

Therefore the area of the figure is 252cm².
