Bhoj first or 'Mihir bhoj' was the most glorious and great ruler of the Gurjar Pratihar dynasty. He ruled for fifty years (850 to 900 AD). His original name was 'Mihir' and 'Bhoj' was the total name or surname. His kingdom was extended to the Himalayas in the north, Narmada in the south, Bengal in the east and Satluj in the west, which can be called the empire in the right sense.
