The solitary reaper composed by William Wordsworth. The poem is a lyrical ballad written in the first person and set in the scenic hills of Scotland. The poet a nature lover was walking past the fields one day when he say a young maid reaping the grain all by herself and singing a beautiful song the passers by had a choice they may either stay there n listen to the melodious song sang by her or simply pass. Throughout the poem the poet is trying to understand what kind of song the reaper was singing and makes quite many guesses to understand it But he then continues his journey up the hill keeping the emotions of the song in his heart
