Answer:

24. 5=6x-7y

We have to express it in the form of ax+by+c=0

So, 6x-7y-5=0

here, a=6

b=-7

c=-5

25. y-7=0

We know, 0×x=0

So we will write here 0x

The new equation is 0x+y-7=0

26. Let the age of man be x years.

And the age of his son be y years.

So, x=3y

The equation is x=3y

Hope you get this.....

Answer:

24)

5 = 6x - 7y

6x - 7y = 5

6x - 7y -5 = 0

ax + by + c = 0

so, the value of a = 6, b = -7 and c = -5

25)

y - 7 = 0

x is not available in the above equation

so, to make the above linear equation in two variable we add the x.

0.x + y -7 = 0

0.x means 0 is multiplying with x

26)

a man is thrice as old as his son.

let, take the age of man be x

and the age of his son be y.

according to question,

x = 3 y

x - 3y = 0

here, the age of the man = x years

the age of his son = y years

is means equals to (=)

thrice means 3 times
