y = 180° - (100+40)° {angle sum property of ∆}

y = (180-140)°

y = 40°

Given, QP||ST

As QP||ST, PS can be considered as transversal.

So, angle QPS= angle PST {alternate angle}

=> x = 100°

Hence, the value of x is 100° and the value of y is 40°.

HOPE IT HELPS. ☺
