guess it would be really easy for a lot of people out there but I just do not know how to solve this problem:

I've tried using these two formulas but I don't think either of them is right.

Let x= blouse

x+600= pair of pants

1200= total

x+x+600+1200

2x+600=1200

2x=600+(-1200)

2x=600

2x=600/2

x=300

and

Let x=blouse

x-600= pair of pants

 = total





()/x

2=x
