Generally , in Australia , Grasslands are confined to its southern part because of 2 reasons -
1• In the northern part , Australia has high mountain ranges which cover almost the whole north frontier.
2• The central part has vast , dry deserts due to which there can be no vegetation while the coastal region has population mainly due to access of sea and maritime industries .
So , due to the favourable conditions in Southern Australia and the suitable climatic conditions plus due to the soil type , we find that the temperate Grassland Downs are situated .
