In a material where the resistance INCREASES with an increase in temperature, the material is said to have a POSITIVE TEMPERATURE COEFFICIENT. In general, conductors have a POSITIVE temperature coefficient, whilst (at high temperatures) insulators have a NEGATIVE temperature coefficient.
