Temperature controls the different states of matter that particles exist in.
Water changes into steam at 100oC while steel takes more temperature to even melt.
Why is there a difference in melting and boiling points among materials?

Answer:

There is difference in the boiling point due to there density. higher the density the higher the temperature and vice versa.
