  • Heat released at constant pressure(Q) is equal to nCpΔT.
  • The change in internal energy (ΔU) is equal to nCvΔT.
  • According to first law of thermodynamics , the change in internal energy of a system is equal to the sum of the heat given to the system and work done (ΔU=Q=W)
  • So, W=ΔU-Q

                 =nΔT(Cv-Cp)

                = 5×(-2)×(-R)

                =10R J
