The temperature of any substance remains constant during the change of state because the heat energy supplied is used up in changing the state of matter and also this heat is used for breaking of several bonds or attractive forces...

Answer: When an object is heated its state may change. This is because the particles present in the object gets more kinetic energy so they move from their original position, but when this heat is given there is a point for every object to show any increase or decrease in the temperature. This is happened because this temperature is given at that time is given equally to all particles so there is no change in temperature.
Example: Take a beaker pour some water and heat it. Keep a thermometer inside the beaker to know its temperature. When the water heats to 100 degree for some time there won’t be any increase in temperature. This is because of the above mentioned reason.
