Because there is no direct sunlight, but torrid zones have direct sunlight. because the sun rays do not fall directly on the temperate zone and that is why it is called temperate zone and it has a moderate climate . the equator falls in the torrid zone and the sun rays fall directly in this region .18-Aug-2014
