Ten boys of distinct ages who have equal amounts of money are standing in a line. The oldest boy gives one rupee to every boy younger than him. Following him, the second oldest boy also gives one rupee to every boy younger than him. The next two boys (in the order of their ages) also follow suit. In the end, the total amount with the boys who have given money to the others is half the total amount with the boys who did not give any money. What was the original amount with each boy?

(A) 36
(B) 48
(C) 50
