The options for this question are missing: here the options:

(a) 1/4

(b) 1/512

(c) 2/92

(d) 2/112

(e) 1/232

The correct answer is option B 1/512

The probability of the object which is lying in any particular half is 1/2

so the probability of all the 10 particles lying in either the 1st half or the 2nd half will be as follows:

= (1/2)^10 + (1/2)^10

= 1/2^9

= 1/512
