For the following reasons I am in favor of Democracy:
1. Equality is the base of democracy, as it ensures equality before the law.
2. By giving the right of universal adult franchise democracy empowers the population of the country to contribute to the decision-making process.
3. It provides its subject with fundamental rights; which includes the freedom of expression to every citizen of India.
4. It opposes discrimination in any form.
5. The democratic regime is more transparent and responsible.
6. It ensures the stability of the administration.
7. It guarantees the legitimacy of the regime.
8. It enables the residents to give their view about the management by providing them freedom of speech and freedom of expression.
9. Democracy supports the idea of common welfare.
10. In a democracy, people have the authority to change the regime modestly.
