The Jama Masjid Of Delhi is the principal mosque of Old Delhi built by Mughal emperor

It is. also known as Masjid-i- Jahan Numa , means the mosque commanding a view of the world.

It was built between 1644 and 1656.

It was constructed by more than 5000 workers.

The mosque was inaugurated by an Imam Bukhari , a mullah from Bukhara,Ubekistan on 23 July 1656.

The mosque was completed in 1656 AD .

It has three great gates, four towers, and two 240 high minarets with red sandstone and white marble.

The courtyard can accommodate more than 25000 people.

There are 3 domes on terrace surrounded by 2 minarets

a total of 899 black borders are marked on the floor for worshippers.
