Answer:

A = 50 years and B = 20 years

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the present age of A be = x years

and the present age of B  be = y years

Ten years later,

A's age will be = (x+10) years

B's age will be = (y+10) years

It is given that,

x+10 = 2y + 20

x - 2y = 10.....................(1)

Five years ago,

A's age was = (x-5) years

B's age was = (y-5) years

It is given that,

x-5 = 3y - 15

x - 3y = -10........................(2)

On solving (1) and (2) using elimination method, we get,

y = 20 years

x = 50 years

Hence, A's age present age is 50 years and B's present age is 20 years.

Hope it helps you....
