Let the present ages of A and B be 3x and 4x years respectively.
Ten years ago A's age is 3x-10 yrs and B's ageis 4x-10 yrs.
According the given data
3x-10 = 4x-10/2
on solving this
6x-20 = 4x-10
x = 5
Therefore A's age is 3x5 = 15 yrs and B's age is 4x5 = 20 yrs
Therefore the total of A's and B's age is 15+20 = 35 yrs

Hope this helps you out.
