Rahul age will =x+10

sachin age will =y+10

x+10=2(y+10)

x+10=2y+20

x-2y-10 equation 1

five years ago,

Rahul age was x-5

sachin age was y-5

x-5=3(y+5)

x-5=3y+15

x-3y-20. equation 2

subtract equation 1 from 2

x-3y-20 - ( x-2y-10)

x-3y-20-x+2y+10

-y=-10

y= 10

put the value of y into equation 1

x-2*10-10

x-20 -10

x-30

x=30
