Tenses
There are three tense forms of verbs:
• I speak English. Present tense
• I ate pizza yesterday.
Past tense
• I will go swimming tomorrow.
Future tense
The present tense tells us what is happening now.
The
past tense tells us what has already happened.
The future tense tells us what will happen.

❶ Simple Present Tense
☞ Structure : Subject + V¹ (1st form of verb) + Object.
• Example : Ram writes story.
❷ Present Continuous Tense
☞ Structure : Subject + is/are + V⁴ (ing form of verb) + Object.
• Example : Ram is writing a story.
❸ Present Perfect Tense
☞ Structure : Subject + has/have + V³ + Object.
• Example : Ram has written a story.
❹ Present Perfect Continuous Tense
☞ Structure : Subject + has/have + been + V⁴ + Object.
• Example : Ram has been writing a story since 3 hours.
