Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

Tan 0 = 2

To find :-

Find the value of Sec 0 ?

Solution:-

Given that

Tan 0 = 2

On squaring both sides then

=>(Tan 0)^2 = 2^2

=>Tan^2 0 = 4

On adding 1 both sides then

=>1 + Tan^2 0 = 1+4

=>1 + Tan^2 0 = 5

We know that

Sec^2 A -Tan^2 A = 1

=>Sec^2 A = 1+ Tan^2 A

Now

=>Sec^2 0 = 5

=>Sec 0 = √5

Answer :-

The value of Sec 0 for the given problem is √5

Used formula:-

  • Sec^2 A -Tan^2 A = 1
