without doing the actual division we can find the decimal is terminating or non-terminating

For that, we have to do prime factorization of the denominator

here you can see that we have only 2 and 5 and from the rule of the termination of the decimal of the fractional value:

If the denominator of the fraction has the factors as the 2 and 5 only then the decimal of the fraction will terminate
