Given that :-

⇒ Test contains = 30 questions

⇒ Marks for every correct answer = +4

⇒ Marks deducted for incorrect answer = -2

⇒ Jay attempt = 30 questions

⇒ Correct answers of Jay = 16 questions

To find :-

Jay's total score; we know that each correct answer is +4 whereas incorrect is -2. Jay attempt 30 questions out of which 16 are correct and 14 are incorrect.

Solution :-

As we know, correct answer is +4 and incorrect is -2. So, we have to first multiply 16 by 4 and then subtract 14 × 2 from 16 × 4.

(16 × 4) - (14 × 2)

64 - 28
