Here an easy way to test for divisibility by 11. Take the alternating sum of the digits in the number, read from left to right. If that is divisible by 11, so is the original number. So, for instance, 2728 has alternating sum of digits 2-7+2-8 = -11.

first u need to add the digits in the no. that are in the odd places and then add the digits in the no. in the even places......

then u need to find the difference btwn them.....

if the difference iszero or a no divisible by 11 then the actual no. is also divisible by 11 .....

suppose u take 1386

nos in even place = 3&6= 3+6=9

nos in odd places= 1& 8=1+8=9

here 9-9=0

thus the actual no is divisible by 11
