Test to distinguish aldehydes and ketones

Using Tollens' reagent (the silver mirror test)
Ketone : No change in the colourless solution.
Aldehyde : The colourless solution produces a grey precipitate of silver, or a silver mirror on the test tube.

we can distinguish aldehyde from ketone by using tollen's reagent aldehyde shows a silver precipitate while ketone does not react.
