Test to distinguish between methyl acetate and ethyl acetate

Methyl acetate on hydrolysis will give 2 molecules of acetic acid while ethyl acetate will give methanoic acid and ethanoic acid. On hydrolysis followed by iodoform reaction, ethyl ethanoategives an yellow ppt of iodoform butmethyl methanoate does not.
