Many people do not know it but the full name of R.K.Narayan was Rasipuram Krishnaswami Iyer Narayanaswami. He was an Indian authour best known for his stories based on the fictional South India town of Malgudi.
Walking was not a mere form of exercise for R.K.Narayan. It was then that he derived his main ideas for his stories. In fact it is well known that Narayan once said that he wished he could be able to walk all his life and write a book Treatment of a Walker on pleasures that you get from walking.

Testament of a walker reflects the inner love and desire that the author, R. K. Narayan had for walking. He hated vehicles and regretted buying one. He believed walking was the best and was his most favourite thing next to his writing. He especially loved walking on the streets of the Mysore. Petrol prices or anything attached to his vehicle never bothered him because he believed strongly in his walking. The article is a true inspiration for everyone to practice walking. Walking will not only reduce fuel consumption but also will keep us healthy.
