Hard water have different ions depending on its source although most water contain ions from the rocks that the water has passed throgh
There are different ions in water from halide ions to copper ions to iron ions to nitrate ions to alluminium ions depending on the nature of the source of water or the rocks from which water is obtained .hence each test is done differently to test for the ions
