Tetracycline getting inactivated by the presence of calcium in milk is a Drug Interaction.

Drug interaction can be defined as a chemical reaction between drugs or a drug and a food or beverage.

Tetracycline is a drug used to treat bacterial infections. Calcium present in milk react with tetracycline to form chelates which decrease absorption of Tetracycline from stomach and thus it reduces the effectiveness of Tetracycline.
