or if u can't open then

m + 1/m² = 2× m×1/m= p-2

squaring both sides

(m+1/m)² = ( p +2) ²

m²+1/m² - ( it is attached so please I can't cut so )

m²+1/m²- 2 = p ²- 4 p +1

m²+1/m ² = p²-4p+6 .
