$10x + (12 - x) = x + 10(12 - x) + 18$

EXPLANATION & ANSWER:

=> 10x+12-x = x + 120 - 10x + 18

=> 9x + 12 = -9x + 138 You must know integers.

=> 9x+9x = 138 - 12 Many get confused here , be careful!

=> 18x = 126

=> x = 7
