 { - 2}^{k + 1}  \times  {2}^{3}  =  { -2 }^{7}

 -  {2}^{k + 1 + 3}  =  { - 2}^{7}

 { - 2}^{k + 4}  =  { - 2}^{7}

 {2}^{k + 4}  =  {2}^{7}

k + 4 = 7

k = 7 - 4

k = 3
