(2 +  \sqrt{3} )(2 -  \sqrt{3} ) \\ it \: is \: in \: the \: form \: of

(a + b)(a - b) =  {a}^{2}  -  {b}^{2}

so,

 =  {2}^{2}  -  ({ \sqrt{3} })^{2}

 = 4 - 3

 = 1

Therefore the answer is "1".
