2x - y  \div  2 = 30

prathiksha6: question is 2x-y/2=30 and when simplified further it is 4x-y=60

Solution:

Given :

  2x + \frac{y}{2} = 30

⇒ By taking LCM we get,

 \frac{2(2x) + y}{2} = 30

 \frac{4x + y}{2} = 30

⇒ 4x + y = 2(30)

⇒ 4x + y = 60

that's how it came,.
