\implies2y +  \frac{5}{2}  =  \frac{2}{3}  - y

\implies2y + y =  \frac{2}{3}  -  \frac{5}{2}

LCM=6

\implies3y =  \frac{4}{6}  -  \frac{15}{6}

\implies3y =  \frac{4 - 15}{6}

\implies3y =   \frac{ - 11}{6}

\implies \: y =  \frac{ (\frac{ - 11}{6} )}{3}

\implies \: y =  \frac{ - 11}{6}  \times 3

\implies \: y =  \frac{ - 33}{6}

\implies \: y = -5.5
