 {3}^{2x + 4}  + 1 = 2 \times  {3}^{x + 2}

LEFT HAND SIDE      3^[2x+4] is divisible by 3  

                                   3^[2x+4]   + 1  is  not  divisible by 3    

so RHS                        2x3^[x+2]   is not  divisible by 3    

only possible is            x+2 = 0

                                     x = -2 and 2x+4 = 0

LHS = 3^0 +1 = 1+1 = 2

RHS  = 2x3^0 = 2x1 = 2

x = - 2
