We have,

3x²+2x+8=0

On comparing with ax²+bx+c=0,

a=3,b=2 and c=8

Applying the Discriminant,

D=b² - 4ac

→D =(2)²-4(3)(8)

→D =4 - 96

D= -92

As D<0,the given equation has imaginary roots,i.e,it has no solutions
