3x -  \frac{1}{2}  = 4 \\  \frac{6x - 1}{2}  = 4 \\ 6x - 1 = 4 \times 2 \\ 6x - 1 = 8 \\ 6x = 8 + 1 \\ 6x = 9 \\ x =  \frac{9}{6}  \\ x =  \frac{3}{2}
