8x² + 3x - 5 = 0

8x² + 8x - 5x - 5 = 0

8x(x + 1) - 5(x + 1) = 0

(8x - 5) (x + 1) = 0

Furthermore, you can find the value of x.

That is

x = 5/8 , -1
