=> a^2+2ab+b^2+a^2–2ab+b^2=52
=> a^2+a^2+b^2+b^2+2ab-2ab=52
=> 2a^2+2b^2=52
=> 2(a^2+b^2)=52
=> a^2+b^2=52/2
=>a^2+b^2=26
