Irrational number:-

Number which continues till infinity and neither terminate and nor become periodic is called irrational number.

EVERY transcendental number is a irrational number. for ex :- ln2 , π

π is irrational number because it's value keeps going till infinity after a point as 3.14...

But 22/7 is rational because it is in fraction and defination of rational number says that every fraction is rational number.

Additional information

  • Rational number:- a number that can be expressed as p/q
  • Integer :- it is defined as a number that can be written without a fractional component
