ABC High School Celebrates World Environment Day

On the 5th of June, this year, on the occasion of World Environment Day, ABC High School Celebrates Van Mahotsav with great fanfare in the school premises. The two hour longed program saw members of the Nature Club participate wholeheartedly. The chief guest for the occasion was the eminent environmentalist, Mr Amit Srivastava. The program began with the school school. An invocation was presented by the students of class ten. It was followed by a short speech by the Principal, Ms Kirti Gupta, where she introduced the chief guest. Since Van Mahotsav was supposed to be celebrated, members of the Nature Club were ready with saplings that they had planted in a cleared space at the back of the school. A total of fifteen saplings were planted and watered. In his speech, the chief guest, Mr Amit Srivastava applauded the initiative of the nature club of the school and encouraged all the students of the school to spread awareness regarding the importance of planting trees in order to save the environment. The program ended with the national anthem.
